Inspire A Child - Spiritual Affinity

It is my belief that if we are to improve our world we need to start with our children.  It is our children that will directly impact on the evolution of the planet, they will be the ones to take it forward.  

It occurred to me that adults often struggle to fully embrace and incorporate amongst other things compassion, forgiveness, patience, acceptance, harmony and oneness, but what if as children we were exposed to these ways of being in our everyday life? They would be so familiar to us that we would be much more well equipped for what would follow in our adult lives.  With this thought, I  started to look for ways of introducing and applying these ideas, these states of being and I found so many wonderful children’s products that offered inspiration, insight, empowerment and wisdom.

After becoming a mother, I began to contemplate what it is to be a child.  I was very aware of how as children we are so open minded, creative, present, imaginative, adventurous, intuitive and honest.  However, as we grow up we seem to lose that innocence, that sense of wonderment, excitement for life, thirst for knowledge,  joyfulness and perceptiveness.  If only children were able to hold on to that part of themselves… to know that it is safe to explore and try new things, even if it means we might make a mistake… that it is fine to speak our truth as long as we do it with love and compassion… that we have the ability to create the best possible experiences for ourselves, we just need to decide what we want and go for it, stay positive and not hold back… that just because someone else might not see, feel, hear or think what we do doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist or count… to understand that whilst we need to plan ahead some of the time, being completely in the moment is the best place to be, because that is where we get to fully experience ourselves and after all why else are we here. 

It was for these reasons that I decided to create a website focusing on helping children to stay connected to their truth, their highest self.  A site that would allow families to see ways of helping inspire and empower their children, be it with a books to help them understand oneness, ego, breathing, mother earth, or loving themselves; CDs to help them appreciate difference and connect with all that is;  colouring books to celebrate who they are and express themselves; cards to help them understand the world in which they live, and connect with their highest self, their guides and find solutions; DVD’s to help them incorporate yoga into their everyday… the list goes on and on.

Today with the inspiration from my two beautiful children and the help and talents of my wonderful husband I have this beautiful website, http://www.spiritual-affinity.ca/ that speaks of my mission to help children stay true to themselves and spread their light.  I have products for children, teens, parents and teachers.  I also offer distant healing and I will soon be offering guidance for families. 

I am very grateful for all the wonderful support I have received and I am proud of what my husband and I have created and I know it will continue to evolve and I hope that it will help many children, teenagers and their families.  We would be honored to have you visit us and we hope you find it useful and uplifting.
