I remember when I first started getting accustomed to the idea of being a Lightworker.  Curled up with Doreen Virtue’s book, The Lightworker’s Way, I read through a list of attributes that characterize lightworkers and came across the very last one: “you know that you are here for a higher purpose, even if you are unsure what it is or how to fulfill it.”  Wow.  There was a group of people out there that even hesitant, confused, well-meaning souls like mine could identify with!

Since that light bulb (pardon the pun!) went off, the synchronicities in my world have been popping up everywhere and picking up speed.  It seems that knowing a bit more about what you are, and having a name for it – lightworker – makes a world of difference in helping you find that higher purpose.  You can imagine my excitement when back in January 2010, I came across Lightworker Magazine – yes, a free, online magazine dedicated to our group of shiny happy people!  Not only was it a fabulous read, but it was also brand new, further fueling my excitement that more of us out there were becoming aware of our inner spark.

It didn’t take long for me to get in touch with the editor, and by the time the March issue came out, I had my own monthly column – Studying at the University of Life – where I could share the wacky lessons I encounter each day.  Each month though, the excitement surrounding this great mag keeps growing with cool articles, amazing writers, and now – face-to-face events being held in cities the world over!

Each month, Focus the Light discussion groups are taking place and all lightworkers are invited to join the fun! The concept is simple – by gathering like-minded people and using thought, discussion and intention, we create a wonderful new wave of energy that will shine even more light into the world. Each of us is filled with insights that are just itching to get out there, and Focus the Light discussion groups help us share those nuggets of wisdom with our peers and beyond.

A different topic is presented each month and explored by discussing three questions to help us get deep into the core of the subject at hand.   A few short meditations are included as well to ground all this wonderful, newly created energy into reality.  And when the next issue of Lightworker Magazine comes out, you can look forward to reading about the highlights of not only your group, but all other groups meeting around the world!

So whether you join me in Toronto or find a Focus the Light group in another city, I’m excited that we have this opportunity to connect and shine even more love and goodness out into the world!

Global Lightworker Project

Lightworkers, please join us as we come together in unison to send healing intention to Mother Earth, to release the pressure that has built up in the last two centuries in a gentle manner.  We believe that as we come together we can prevent great destruction and devastation, while at the same time teaching the rest of the world the power of intention when joining in great numbers.  

We are grateful that no longer do we live in a time that necessitates the complaining of circumstances or the status of our respective economic conditions or living in fear. No longer should we remain victims of deteriorating foundations. By joining forces, we can come together as a miraculous collective consciousness to create the change necessary for the highest good of all people and our Blessed Earth. The Global Consciousness possibilities are endless and infinite. We have devoted our lives to transform challenges into these infinite possibilities.  Will you join us?

A Lightworker Prayer

A LIGHTWORKER PRAYER from the Indigo Healing group

I ask that spirit walk with me this day.

And that I have the courage To carry this truth within me in all that I do.

To full stand in my own truth And power is to honor the spirit within.

Help me today to re-member Both who I am and who I am not.

Who I am is magnificent, Yet to carry a facade of who I am not Only detracts from that magnificence.

To accept the truth of my own limitations,

Clears the path to carrying my true power.

I know that holding my power is only possible

When I am not afraid of being vulnerable.

This day I will balance my ego

By checking it often And see my true motivations.

I accept the power that is rightfully mine

And will to use it to create Home on this side of the veil.

I ask that I may allow spirit to emanate From me to all who choose to look upon me,

That I may be a perfect mirror So that they may see the God within themselves

Help me to touch their hearts With my love And allow them to re-member Home and who they really are As I re-member who I am.

As spirit walks with me this day I remember to give thanks for the gift of spirit on my shoulder. May I always use it to the highest good of all concerned. I vow to enjoy this day to it’s fullest and to laugh at every opportunity.

This day I will play the wonderful Game

And I will carry the vibrations of Home in every move on the Gameboard.

This day I will Re-member.
