“Friend-Ships”

Each friend represents a world in us,
a world possibly not born until they arrive,
and it is only by this meeting that a new world is born.

–Anais Nin-

Lets face it we all like people that make us feel good, but friends do more than just that. Half-jokingly I would always say that “my friends keep me from falling too hard, and they keep me from choking in the rain when I’m full of myself.”… What if the ocean symbolized life itself, then “friend-ship” was my ark, keeping me safe, dry, sane, and afloat…

Studies have shown that although challenging relationships can teach us a lot, it’s the healthy companion-ships that help to nurture the soul. An honest and satisfying relationship can actually boost you when you are down and lonely, and it can impact the quality and even the length of our very existence by enhancing the joy and our overall well-being.

Sometimes it’s hard to admit that, “still waters attract their own level”. Knowledge is power. That is why taking a personal life inventory regularly (in all aspects of your life) is very important and is part of the “maintenance” process. So, if you are not getting what you want out of your friend-ships, ask yourself, “What kind of friend am I?” “Would I be grateful to have a friend like me?” If the answer is no then keep asking yourself the questions that will enlighten you to your truth, make a plan, then implement the necessary changes that will enable you to live the life you want, at the level you want, with loving, supportive people of your choice.

“Friendship is a gift we give to our self… as it is a gift to the person you deeply “deep-end” (depend) on!

My name is Andrea and I am a lightworker. I don't have all of the answers, and in many ways, it's just a label that has been applied to me. There are no degrees or certifications involved in this vocation- but I can say with certainty that it's my calling. Like so many others, I've always felt like something was different about me- like the world wasn't where I was meant to be and that there was some other place for me where things were more peaceful and joyful.

I designed a life with meaning built into it; one where every moment was not only fulfilling but also made sense on a spiritual level. There is no need for searching or yearning because everything is right here where we need it to be - at our fingertips.
