The Shift In Consciousness — The Process Of Healing
HUMANITY IS EXPERIENCING a global Shift in Consciousness, a process that will reconnect us to our spiritual center, whose ultimate objective is to heal humanity of the karma that has been the central theme of its existence. For eons humanity has existed in the third dimension, ruled by fear and separated from its spiritual Source and the energy of unconditional love. At various times in human evolution, spiritual teachers have incarnated to teach this message of reintegration and re-connection with varying degrees of success. This is the first time that there are enough people willing to accept this challenge and who have arrived at a point in their individual spiritual evolution there they can rise above the powerful fear that is the ego energy, acknowledge the need to heal, and undergo the process to integrate spirit and ego. For the first time, this process has the potential for success at a global level. And it is changing the way that we view ourselves, our lives, and our relationship with the Universe, the God Creator, and our Source.
This Shift in Consciousness is a healing journey, a process that is often difficult, challenging, and confusing. Because we are each unique beings, walking our own path, each of us is following a different path through the Shift. As societies we have become very homogenized and group-oriented, learning to adopt an accepted way of being, living and interacting. This makes one aspect of the Shift so difficult for us—we each have a unique and different experience of the Shift so there is no ‘one way’ to experience it. Although we may find ourselves around others whose experiences are somewhat similar to ours we cannot adopt our healing to mirror that of others. We cannot use others’ experiences to make our own experience easier. We must each discover what the Shift means for us, to create our own connection to the Source, to find our own inner guide and learn and heal at our own rate, within our own capabilities, and to find our own way through the Shift. Even within families, each person’s experience of the Shift can be totally different. The Shift is our introduction to finding, experiencing, and accepting the connection that we have with our Source, the Universe. It is an initiation into the healing that will reconnect us with our spiritual center.
In ancient societies, ceremonies marked the passing from one phase of life to another. These ceremonies were initiations, rituals consisting of a series of tests and challenges that were the physical reality of every doubt, fear, anxiety, and worry that a person could experience as they moved from one life stage to another, generally from childhood into adulthood. The initiation ritual, which involved removing someone from the protection of the group or society and forcing them to experience a series of trials alone, helped the participants develop inner strength and to find the inner resources to survive and surmount the challenges. Most modern societies no longer practice initiation, having replaced the individual challenges with ceremonies that mark a group’s rite of passage, such as high school or college graduation, marriage, and retirement. The process that forces an initiate to face their deepest fears and to conquer them so that they are prepared to move into the next life stage, which allows them to develop their inner resources, are no longer utilized. What we are missing is the initiation process that prepares us internally—emotionally and spiritually—on an individual level, to move from one part of life to another, to heal our wounds, reflected in our fears, and to advance in the true purpose of our incarnation, to reconnect to Spirit, to our Source.
And that is the purpose of the second part of the Shift, the process of healing. Through this process we must learn to uncover our own spiritual wounds, discover their source and heal them. Each spiritual wound, that really represents lifetimes of wounds, will be revealed to us in a manner that compels us to pay attention, thus it may cause us pain and distress because that is what we pay attention to. This may manifest in our life as the end of a relationship, a job loss, financial difficulties, health problems, or a myriad of other physical manifestations of a spiritual lesson. If we can recognize these situations as opportunities for us to heal our spiritual wounds and an initiation process whose purpose is to help us become more connected to our Source, we have already set the stage for our success, although it may not feel like it at the time and we may still have a long way to go before we are able to complete the healing initiation.
The Shift’s spiritual healing process has four parts through which we must pass to complete the initiation. While each part is a journey unto itself, they work together to ensure that we learn what we must to arrive at the journey’s end, eventually finding our source of inner strength and satisfying the terms of the initiation — to grow spiritually. Unlike wounds on our physical body, spiritual wounds are often hidden and must be uncovered, brought to our attention in a manner that forces us to acknowledge their existence, to recognize their issues.
The four parts of the Shift’s spiritual healing initiation are:
Birth—we believe that the only birth that we experience is the physical one that we undergo at the beginning of our life. But each new life change and event is a spiritual birth for us, a chance at a new life experience, an opportunity to uncover a wound that requires healing.
Trial—this is the challenge portion of the initiation, the task that we must accomplish in order to move ahead to the next stage. During the trial, we will face a spiritual wound and our deepest fears, doubts, worries, and anxieties and learn about the beliefs and perceptions that we have accepted to create our life and the reality we have created that reflects the wound.
Lesson—the lesson is the central theme of the initiation, what we must learn in order to arrive at the final stage. The lesson represents the learning that we must absorb in order to heal our wounds.
Enlightenment—this is the final stage of the initiation whose attainment means that we have completed the initiation successfully by undergoing the trial and learning the lesson. Enlightenment means that we have healed the wound and are prepared to move to the next stage of our spiritual path.
There is no set time, format, or guideline for the spiritual initiation process. And each one, along with its trials and lessons, can be short or long, depending on how much time it takes for us to uncover the wound and learn its lesson. But spiritual growth is an evolutionary process and as the Universe, it is multi-dimensional and non-linear. Because the initiation is part of our life journey, we will be tested again and again, each new initiation building upon the knowledge that we have gained from the previous one We will complete many spiritual initiations during the course of our lifetime, each one with its own unique set of challenges, each with a different wound to heal, a different lesson to learn. As we attain the state of enlightenment in each initiation we move farther along the evolutionary spiral that is the path of our spiritual growth and heal our spiritual wounds. But once it is over we are not finished, as we will continue to move through various initiation processes, each of which acts to bring other areas of healing to our attention, moving us farther along the evolutionary spiral. As we each accomplish this on an individual level, it is being repeated on a global level on our planet. Everyone and everything is shifting, changing, moving along a spiritual path whose ultimate destination is the realization that we are One, connected and always within reach of a loving, benevolent, infinite Creator.
During the Shift in Consciousness, we will undergo a spiritual initiation, a healing journey that is a test or rite of introduction into a new individual and global consciousness. This process will challenge us to find and connect to our spiritual resources, to heal our spiritual wounds, and to learn how to use spiritual tools to meet the challenges that we face. The four steps of the Shift’s initiation process – birth, trial, lesson, enlightenment -provide us with the keys to our healing and spiritual growth. While the Shift is an individual process, as more and more people accept the Shift the energy of the Earth and all of its inhabitants will shift as well. This is an unprecedented time in humanity’s evolution, a celebration of our accomplishments, spiritual growth, and desire to reconnect with the Source. It is at this time, as humanity embraces the Shift in Consciousness and completes its initiation that the concept of ‘peace on earth and goodwill to humankind’ can truly become a reality.
