Your Hands Are the Map to Your Life

Most of us take our hands for granted, never fully comprehending the enormity of this living “tool”. It is the human hand that has ensured our survival, and it is the human hand that has brought to life visions and dreams both individually and collectively, for all “hue-man-ity” (people of all colors). With the aid of millions of nerves, a few dozen muscles, and all 27 bones, hands have built and destroyed complete civilizations.

The human hand has been fascinating mankind for thousands of years. Through varied hand gestures and positions – in art, motion, and rituals, the human hand has had religious significance in just about every world culture. Studies of the hand as a tool, and as a mirror of our inner self, are believed to have begun in China and India, as early as 3,000 B.C. There is a recorded reference to hand analysis in Indian poetry from 2,000 B.C. – which incidentally – without the hand, would not have been recorded.

“There is nothing in the three worlds for knowledge besides the hand,
which is given to mankind like a book to read.”
– Hastha Sanjeevan –

The hand expresses a spectrum of emotions and signals. It was used for communication and depending on our interpretations, has represented comfort and safety, danger and protection, love and marriage, – warnings, compassion, strength, creativity, etc.

In Christianity; both Christ and Mary’s hands are often portrayed exuding a healing light, and even today, it is customary for a priest to use his thumb to bless parishioners. The Bible has quite a few references to the hand, i.e., Isaiah 8:11: where it portrays the hand as a conveyor of God’s thoughts and wishes – or – Exodus 7:5; signifying God’s presence and power, etc.

In the “Kabbalah”, the Jewish Book of Mysticism, exact guidelines are given for reading palms. In Islam, the fingers represent their five principal commandments, and pictures of hands called “Hamsa”, meaning five, assures protection from evil. Hinduism uses “Mudras”, or hand gestures, which are considered essential for Holy dances in India and Bali, etc., etc. …. and what about when we are “needing, giving, or lending a hand”…?

Surprisingly, although tainted by “mystical” connotations, gypsies, and other shadowy images through the year, many therapists, law enforcement agencies, large corporations, and medical doctors are using more and more; identity, medical, and psychological “Chirology” (the study of hands) in their daily practices.

While developing a specific crossbreeding of roses, Dr. Arnold Holzman, a Botanist, studied the human embryo. Astonishingly, he found that during the 2nd week of the 4th month of pregnancy, both the palm and the brain develop at the exact same time therefore they have synchronized. He managed to prove that significant, life-changing experiences, be it positive or negative, does get recorded on the palm in various ways. New lines form and some actually fade every 6 months.

In fact, the Canadian-born, Holzman was challenged by two, major Israeli Universities. He was sent 1,000 pre-diagnosed, anonymous palm prints. When there was a discrepancy between his analysis and a doctor, it was found that he was the one that was 100. Dr. Holzman has, and I believe still is, working with the Israeli Police on eliminating poverty and crime by simply “by-passing” unwanted, negative influences in their upbringing. Proving that the Science and Art of Hand Analysis is not flawed, though the exact interpretation can be “miss-interpreted” by an unskilled reader.

*Although the information in this article has been immensely condensed, it is my hope that, in no way, have I minimized the value of Palmistry. When used properly, Palm Reading is a valuable tool that can be used for very deep levels of introspection in all aspects, of self-awareness. You can literally:

  • Develop self-recognition; awaken to your life lessons, your strengths and weaknesses. Learn to deal with major issues and even how a belief system was born.
  • Understand your life’s perception, beyond ego patterns. Observe where you have been and where you are heading, how your core psychological make-up is influencing your health, relations, and career. Be guided to create the life you seek.
  • Reveal and confirm inner feelings and insights. It helps you delve into your challenges with more ease, purpose, and optimism. More ready to develop self-assurance, self-confidence, & self-acceptance, as you allow them to abide within.
  • Get to know your likes and dislikes: What grabs your interest? What brings you great joy, and enhances self-fulfillment? What makes you tick?
  • Clarity and insight into your life’s journey. How to experience life as a joyous adventure on an obstacle course rather than an endless nightmare.
  • Courage: is created when one can go beyond their ego’s understanding and move more easily through trying times.

In all fairness to this topic, I have only begun to scratch the surface with these fascinating facts. What I can attest to, from my years of personal experience, is that for me, the 60’s song …“In His Hands – He’s Got the Whole World” … has taken on a whole new meaning, because now I can honestly say that … we all have too!

Andrea

My name is Andrea and I am a lightworker. I don't have all of the answers, and in many ways, it's just a label that has been applied to me. There are no degrees or certifications involved in this vocation- but I can say with certainty that it's my calling. Like so many others, I've always felt like something was different about me- like the world wasn't where I was meant to be and that there was some other place for me where things were more peaceful and joyful.

I designed a life with meaning built into it; one where every moment was not only fulfilling but also made sense on a spiritual level. There is no need for searching or yearning because everything is right here where we need it to be - at our fingertips.
